Glenn Planert

Coach G is a long-time basketball coach, who has been involved at various levels with assorted teams over the past 20 years.  He is a certified Level 2 coach, with experience coaching House League, Rep Girls and Boys teams, as well as at the High School Level.

New to the Lightning organization this season, he brings enthusiasm and positive reinforcement to his Major Atom Too team; focusing on fundamentals and preaching that his girls play “hard, fast, smart and together”!

A professor at Conestoga College, Glenn coaches with an emphasis on teaching and positive development of his players’ skills and personalities; all done with fun, fair play and respect to everyone involved in the wonderful game of basketball.

Tiia Planert

Tiia is a new Assistant Coach, after being a player for many years at the Rep, High School and House League levels.  She is in the process of attaining her Level 1 coaching credentials and has coached and refereed at the House League level.  A well-rounded player and student, Tiia excels in her academics at Bluevale Collegiate and is looking forward to attending university next year.  She provides warm and positive support to the team members.
