University of Waterloo Scrimmage — January 20, 2010

On Wednesday, January 20, the KW Lightning Atom team held a scrimmage session at halftime of the University of Waterloo women's game against Brock. The girls were pretty nervous about playing on such a large court, but the two scrimmage teams still managed to score a basket on each other for a final 2-2 score. Many thanks to Kathleen Rubie for organizing the scrimmage and to the University of Waterloo Warriors for hosting it! After the women's game was over, the girls got to meet the Warriors in person.

Valhalla Tournament — January 15, 2010

The KW Lightning Atom team played in a 4-team tournament hosted by Sarnia's Valhalla club, winning 2 out of 3 games to end up in second place. Way to go, girls!
