Coach Bios

Patti Shane  Patti’s love for basketball started in grade 7 when she was selected for her senior school team.  After 32 years, she continues to share this passion for basketball through a variety of venues.   Patti has coached basketball at the grade 7 and 8 level for over 21 years while teaching and has enjoyed the enthusiasm, determination and the willingness of the girls’ to learn.  She expanded her basketball knowledge by volunteering to convene 3 sessions of the Youth Basketball League (YBL) for over 4 years; their ages ranging from 4 to 11 years.  Patti has her NCCP Level 2 qualifications and continues to develop her own basketball skills by playing in the KW Basketball Women’s League.   Over the years, Patti has been actively involved as a camper and coach at Basketball International and coach and trainer at Naismith Basketball Camp.   Patti and co-coach Luke Gasteiger coached the KW Lightning novice team last year.  They're happy to have Kiki Bamberger join them this year with the atom team!  Welcome Kiki!
