Brian Henry

Michelle McCrory Michelle had a late start in playing competitive basketball, but at age 16, she couldn’t get enough. Passionate about the sport and being a ‘gym-rat’, Michelle worked on her skills enough to earn her a position on the gold medalling Central West Regional JDP team and an alternate on the Ontario Provincial team. Michelle attended the University of Waterloo (1985-1990) where she played varsity basketball for 5 years, co-captained for her last 3 years and was selected for various tournament all-stars and the Mike Moser award. During her last year, she also had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe as a member and co-captain of a select university all-star team. She continues to play in the KW women’s basketball league.                Michelle is almost Level 2 NCCP certified as she will complete her practical by year end. She is relatively new to the coaching arena as this is her third year assistant coaching with the KW Lightning and she is thrilled to be coaching the Juvenile team alongside with Brian Henry. It is a wonderful thing to be a part of these young women’s lives. Watching them not only develop a love and passion for the skills of the game but also watching them grow in their confidence, leadership and friendships on and off the court is very fulfilling. And she would like to thank all those who are involved in the Lightning organization as they empower these girls of all ages.
